Exemptions

Exemptions for CA Exams


Exemptions are available for EICA to award specific level of exemptions to graduates of an educational program of a university or institute after a full assessment of the program’s syllabus and assessments . EICA accredits program conducted by educational institutions worldwide. EICA can accredit the following types of qualifications for exemption:

  • Certificates / Diplomas

  • Foundation degrees

  • Bachelor degrees

  • Postgraduate qualifications

  • Professional qualifications

 

Exemptions are accredited after assessment of educational qualification that of students registering
with EICA which matches the knowledge and skills gained from their previous qualification.

 

  • Exemption is awarded on the basis of qualifications and if applicable then also supplemented on

         basis of work experience

  • Exemption is only awarded on the basis of qualifications which contain relevant content to

         exams of EICA  Foundation Level and/or Certificate Level and/or Advance Level

         Graduates
         Applicants holding a graduation degree in accountancy or finance subjects from recognised university or
         Institute can be eligible to claim exemptions for some or all exam papers of Foundation Level.

  • Exemption is awarded on the basis of qualifications and if applicable then also supplemented on

         basis of work experience

  • Exemption is only awarded on the basis of qualifications which contain relevant content to

         exams of EICA.  

  • Post-Graduates applicants holding a Post-graduation degree in accountancy or finance subjects from recognized

         university or Institute can be eligible to claim exemptions for some or all exam papers of EICA.

  • Exemption is awarded on the basis of qualifications and if applicable then also supplemented on

         basis of work experience.

Certificate/ Diploma Holders in relevant subjects

Applicants holding Certificate/ Diploma in accountancy or finance subjects from recognized university or
Institute can be eligible to claim exemptions for some or all exam papers of EICA.

  • Exemption is awarded on the basis of qualifications and if applicable then also supplemented on

         basis of work experience

  • Exemption is only awarded on the basis of qualification which contain relevant content to

         exams of EICA Foundation Level and/or Certificate Level and/or Advance Level

 

Accountancy Qualification/Membership of other Professional Body

 

Applicants holding qualification/membership in accountancy or finance subjects of other recognized
professional body can be eligible to claim exemptions for some or all exam papers of EICA.

  • Exemption is awarded on the basis of qualifications and if applicable then also supplemented on

         basis of work experience

  • Exemption is only awarded on the basis of qualifications which contain relevant content to

         exams of EICA Foundation Level and/or Certificate Level and/or Advance Level

 

Pathway membership


Pathway membership allows full exemptions to exams and experience requirements enabling the
applicant to gain CA qualification


Pathway membership is available to the following:

    

  1.  Members of other recognized professional bodies

  2.  Holders of Post-Graduation degree from recognized University with practical experience in field

          of Accountancy, Audit, Finance and Taxation.
